WHAT’S UP NATION?! This is The Concert Cruizer here and I want to talk
to you all about one of the most underrated bands ever. What was once
just a simple cover band has grown into what I hope is going to be the
next big thing. They are one of the most exciting and energetic bands
I have ever heard in recent years. With their sound being a perfect
blend of musical styles over the past 3 decades. The slicked up polish
sound of the 80’s, the muddy texture of the 90’s, and the hard core
crush of today all perfectly mixed together into a band known simply
Fozzy was the brain child of Stuck Mojo guitraist Richard Ward and
Singer and WWE Professional Wrestler Chris Jericho…..I’m totally
serious and here’s the best part, HE’S AMAZING! Chris Jericho is an
amazing vocalist who has a great deal of authority in his voice that
grabs your attention but, don’t think he’s just all power and no class
he can easily sing soft melodies at the drop of a hat. His vocal
performance just caught me off guard I would have never expected him
to sound like that and keep in mind I watch pro-wrestling and saw his
debut in the WWE. He already had this rock star persona along with
great mic skills but I would have never have guessed that he can
actually sing like one.
Other members have come and gone but currently the line consist of
Frank Fontsere (Stuck Mojo, Agent Cooper, The Duke, Primer 55), Billy
Grey (Sick Speed & Dangerous New Machine), and Paul Di Leo (Nena &
Adrenalin Mob). Together they are a power house of metal that is meant
to be heard. So why haven’t they achieved the success they
deserve?…..I wish I knew. Their album “Chasing The Grail” didn’t
make it on the Billboard 200 but was reached number 6 on the
Heatseeker Charts but, I am hoping that with them now being signed to
Century Media one of the biggest Metal Labels ever. They will get the
promotion they deserve. Their first album to be released on Century
Media “Sin And Bones” has been doing much better then their previous
album (Chasing The Grail) and, has been doing good and has even has landed
various charts including the Billboard 200, Hard Rock Albums,
Heatseeker Albums , Independent Albums, & Rock Albums. I would highly
recommend them to any rock and/or metal fan and we can get some
variety not just in music but on the tour and festival circuit.
What’s Up Nation!? I have a favor to ask. Neue Deutsche Härte (“New German Hardness”) band OOMPH is considering a North American tour. They are one of the few pioneers of this genera along with Megaherz and the Gods themselves RAMMSTEIN. They are doing a survey to see what cities they should go to. So if you can please just take a few minutes of your time to fill out this survey HERE. We would greatly appreciate it and, if you would like to check out some of they’re music first then click this link here (OOMPH’s Youtube Channel). Please help spread the word and lets help OOMPH THE STATES!
WHAT’S UP NATION?! Here it is, the line up for this year’s ROCK ON THE RANGE And what are my thoughts about this year’s line up? Man it sucks I just moved to Florida because there is going to be a concert so big no ordinary venue can contain it. For those of you who may not know Rock On The Range it’s a three day long event that takes place in a STADIUM! Do you know how rare it is for a concert to be held in one of those? I wish so bad I could be there covering it, giving you all the lowdown of the show, what the bands think, and how the crowd feels. It looks like such a good time just look at this line up… First we have Guns & Roses; while it might not be the original line up, it’s still the same songs we have enjoyed for decades. Next up we have Avenged Sevenfold. I have seen this band twice and they always put on a great show; with the success of they’re newest album “Hail To The King” it’s sure to be even bigger than the last time I saw them. Last but not least we have Kid Rock. This man has done music from Rock and Punk to Country and Hip Hop. He brings a lot of versatility with him for this concert and giving you an idea of what a character this man is. He recently did an arena tour where tickets were just $20 and it was a huge success.
Now, a headliner is nothing without an opening act and they have some killer ones this year. We have Five Finger Death Punch following up from they’re spectacular performance at last year’s Mayhem Festival. Next up we have thrash legends SLAYER who still manage to find away to melt faces after all these years. Next we have Staind, who after a 2 year long hiatus are back in full force. Last but not least we have icons from the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, MOTORHEAD. I have seen all four of those bands live and they never fail to put on a good show; they even have some incredible bands that you maybe never heard of before. They have some of the most underrated bands ever like FOZZY, Texas Hippie Coalition, and Gojira . Hot Up-In-Coming bands like Butcher Babies, Monster Truck, and Twelve Foot Ninja. Even some over seas talent with the likes of One Ok Rock, Truckfighters, and Heaven’s Basement. Your sure to sing, scream, mosh, dance, and even laugh. That’s not all folks, they are bringing back the “Rock On The Ranger Comedy Tent” with JIM BREUER The Metal Impressionist.
See what I mean about moving back to Florida? I sadly can not make it to this extraordinary collection of music talent. However I hope those of you who do make it will share your experience with all the others. If your interested in going and live in the Columbus Ohio area or have the means to travel, tickets are still available, just click here. For those looking for a more relaxing and comfortable experience they have Hotel & VIP packages for sale or if you can’t afford everything all at once they offer a layaway plan to lighten the load on your wallet. This has all the ingredients to be the musical experience of a life time.
