The dates are are finally in. Here are the tour dates for the STATIC-X 20TH ANNIVERSARY WISCONSIN DEATH TRIP TOUR!

As teased late last year, STATIC-X will head out on their highly-anticipated Wisconsin Death Trip 20th Anniversary tour this summer, which will also serve as a memorial tribute to late vocalist Wayne Static. The tour will feature co-headliners and metal giants DevilDriver, and will also feature support from heavy mainstays Dope. The tour will begin in Tempe, AZ on June 18 and will visit over a month’s-worth of cities, coming to an end in Las Vegas, NV on July 27.
Tickets will go on sale via individual venues this Friday (pre-sale begins tomorrow). Meet & greets are available now via and See below for all dates.
“Our intention is to pay ultimate respect to Wayne and to celebrate the music that has been in all of our hearts for more than 20 years,” says bassist Tony Campos. “It’s all about channeling the vibe from 1999 to the best of our ability and playing those classic STATIC-Xsongs live and loud.”
“Rehearsals have been awesome,” adds guitarist Koichi Fukuda. “The music and the vocals are sounding really great! I feel like Wayne would be proud.”
In celebration of this announcement, STATIC-X have revealed an exclusive promotional video for the tour, including a brand new clip of the band performing a newly-recorded version of their hit song “Push It”, featuring an unidentified vocalist. Watch here:
“We understand that people are naturally going to want to know more about who is singing,”says drummer Ken Jay. “We have discussed this at great length and we came to the conclusion that at this time, it would be inappropriate for us to put the focus on anyone other than Wayne, Tony, Koichi and myself. It feels like the best way for us to celebrate Wayne’s legacy, along with the 20th anniversary of Wisconsin Death Trip, with all of our fans.”
DevilDriver frontman Dez Fafara says, “For those who don’t know, I am the one who first discovered STATIC-X back in the day in a small club in front of about 40 people! From that moment forward, I was and have always been a fan of what they do. It’s unique and will always hold a special place musically for me.
Co-headlining this first memorial tour is not only a way to pay homage to Wayne, but something I’m very excited to do. STATIC-X will be closing the show each night out of respect for Wayne. I’ll be there nightly, side stage, watching the unit do their thing with a big smile. I hope that Wayne will be there in spirit, watching as his brothers pay respect by bringing this music back to the fans that made the band so massive! I know he would have loved this!
Don’t miss out and grab tickets before these dates sell out! DevilDriver will have a full headlining set and we are throwing in some “surprises”, so get ready to get LOCO! If there was ever a time for me to break out Coal Chamber tracks, this would be the tour to do it on… we will also add new stuff from DevilDriver before our double record comes out in late summer! Come join us for the summer tour of a lifetime!”
On this tour, support artist Dope will also celebrate the 20th anniversary of their acclaimed debut album, Felons and Revolutionaries. “We are super excited to be part of this tour,” says Edsel Dope. Dope and STATIC-X played hundreds of shows together back in 1999 and 2000, so it’s an honor to be able to run it back 20 years later.”

I really hope these won’t be the only American dates. I want to see this so bad and there is not 1 stop in my state of Florida. I have been a Static-X fan for a long time and would love to be there and celebrate the work of Wayne Static. I’m curious to see how the Memorial Tribute will be like. I saw the one for Chester Bennington when it streamed on youtube and it was really touching. I’m also not quite sure what they meant about who will be singing their songs. Because the impression that I got from that passage is the vocals will played live to track. If they do that then I think it would be pretty cool if they used that Stand in from the Promo video. Which you can see  down below.

You should know that VIP Meet & Greet packages are for sale at their website So let’s get ready to celebrate the life and work on Wayne Static. Until next time Nation. STAY LOUD!

Least Favorite albums of 2018

Well, i’m afraid it’s THAT time…..Time to give my least favorite albums that I personally have heard in 2018. Now just like with the last list, I have not heard every Rock/Metal album that came out last year nor is this going to be in any particular order. So let’s get started.

First up (and I know i’m gonna get shot for this) Breaking Benjamin’s-Ember

Before you grab your torches and pitch forks let me explain. I don’t hate this album but, my problem is. It’s rather forgettable. I gave this album several play throughs and it didn’t make much of an impact on me. Which kills me to say because I think something improved since their last record Dark Before Dawn (like the bass and the drums) but it doesn’t hit emotionally like all of BBs other albums.

Next is 68-Two Parts Viper

I know this shouldn’t count because this came out in 2017 but I was introduced to them last year when I saw them at Fort Rock 2018 and their performance was horrible. The singer hardly faced the audience and came he off as disinterested. Plus his playing was rather sloppy. Now I know what you are all thinking “this sounds like a review of their performance. Not the album”. Yes. I know but, whenever I get into a band. The goal is to see them live and if THIS is what I have to look forward to? Then forget it.

Three Days Grace-The Outsider

I don’t hate this album. I just think it’s OK. There are some good songs on it and would recommend it to some but, it just didn’t connect with me that much.

Yeah you knew this was coming. Everything people have said about this album is true. There’s maybe a few good songs on here but this not an Evolution. This is more of a Devolution. It’s more of their same sound with some acoustic ballads and they sucked. I know they were trying to do something similar to their cover of the Sound of Silence but that had such a powerful and emotional punch. This comes off more as….awkward.

Tenacious D-Post Apocalypto

You will only “Get” this album if you saw their youtube series that acts as a counterpart to this record and even if you did check out their web series for this. Otherwise it comes off as very disjointed and there will be some context missing. Plus the songs are rather short. You’ll just be getting into the groove of the song and then it’s over. Plus not all the skits lans.

Well that’s it for now. If you think there’s some album that you think are worse. Feel free to let me know in the comment section. So until next time Nation. STAY LOUD!

Favorite Albums of 2018

2018 has come to a close and I want to share some of my favorite albums that I got last year. Now not all of these came out in 2018 nor have I heard every rock/metal album that came. This is just the ones that I personally have heard or purchased. Plus this won’t be in any particular order. With all of that said, Let’s Get STARTED.

I’m someone who grew up during the Nu Metal era. I loved it and I miss it. Nu Metal wasn’t always gloomy, it had an element of fun and it showed just how much Rap and Rock/Metal can work together. When I saw Hollywood Undead at Fort Rock 2018. I was blown away. It showed me that this genre isn’t gone. But, what I found so interesting about this album was the range of topics. Be it showing the good and bad side of Los Angeles. The fascination of the occult. The Nocturnal aspects of their lives. They even have this VERY sweet Ballad that reminds me of Michael Jackson. Plus a KILLER rap track featuring B-Real from Cypress Hill. Give this album a listen too.

GODSMACK: When Legends Rise

When I first heard this was going to be more of a commercial album. I was honestly intrigued. People have been complaining for years that all (if not most) Godsmack albums sound the same. So this was a chance to explore some new territory that they haven’t done since their acoustic EP and I personally think it sounds great. Sure it sounds a bit more polished, the lyrics are more metaphorical, and the songs are shorter but, it still sounds like it came from Godsmack. There was still hard hitting music, catchy riffs, and solid performances. I honestly don’t know what people are complaining about.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH: A Decade of Destruction

As someone who is just a casual fan of this band. This was what I needed. I have seen them many times on the festival circuit (dating all the way back to Family Values 2007 & MayhemFest) but, they were a bad that was just there. I didn’t know that much about them but, they have grown in size and wanted a crash course of what their catalog is like. This album provided me with just that. It has some amazing covers, killer songs, and even a guest appearance from Rob Halford. As far the negative criticisms go…..Be it the haters or the band. I am not afraid to call Bullshit when I hear it.

GHOST: Prequelle

What I liked about this album is while it’s heavier then their previous release…It’s still subtle. The distortion isn’t cranked up to 11, they’re still not screaming down a microphone and they even mixed things up. Got some instrumental tracks, one which includes a saxophone solo (yeah I never had thought to have that either). Not all the songs have an occult vibe and, rather than having the singer as another Papa they went with a Cardinal instead. This is a band that is on my Bucket List. The show looks incredible and I am a firm believer that bands need to have theatrical elements in their live shows. Sure live music is always great but after a certain point you’re just watching musicians on stage. You need to have something more. Something that will hold peoples attention and these guys can do it.

AVATAR: Avatar Country

Avatar is a band that I heard of but wasn’t familiar with their music. So when I saw they were coming to Fort Rock 2018 I made sure to check them out. They were good so I bought this album and it’s…..WEIRD. I mean this album cover makes no sense. Especially for being called Avatar Country plus every song title has the word KING in it….So wouldn’t it make more sense to call this album The King? But despite how weird the presentation was. The musicianship is AMAZING. I don’t know if this can be considered progressive metal or not but I was so impressed with what I saw at the concert and what I heard on this album. I don’t even know how to describe it. Just give it a listen.

C418: Minecraft-Volume Alpha

Image result for c418 minecraft

I may be a rock/metal guy but that doesn’t mean I don’t like other forms of music but even I have to admit. I didn’t what to expect with this. I didn’t know anything about this type of music (Ambient) until I saw a review of the game and they talked about the soundtrack. I was intrigued so I gave it a listen and i’m surprised by how much I like. Seriously this sounds relaxing, mysterious, creepy, and retro all at the same time. Sometimes you wanna kick back, relax and get lost in the atmosphere of music. This does that perfectly.

So those are just some of my favorite albums that I heard in 2018. If you disagree or felt like there’s some I should check out. Feel free to let me know in the comments and let’s look forward to what 2019 has to bring. So until next time nation STAY LOUD!
