Cathy Weseluck Confirmed for Final BronyCon

Greetings Nation,

I am happy to report that the voice of Spike The Dragon, Ms Pommel, and Mayor Mare Cathy Weseluck has been confirmed for the Final BronyCon.

This is excellent. I haven’t seen Cathy in two years. She was the first person from the show I ever got to meet. I even got to work with her when she appeared at the Grand Brony Gala. Did a little tribute video to her about being our first guest of honor which you can see below.

I even had a couple of private voice coaching sessions. Which by the way, she is a great teacher but, when of the best things about meeting her is she is always willing to talk in character for you and I absolutely love that. Which to some people may not seem like much but, you gotta keep in mind that Voice Actors Aren’t Known for a face. They are known for a voice and, fans want to hear that voice say something that would not normally be heard in the show. Be it your name, a line in a song, or a movie quote. She was always willing say something for fans. It’s always a pleasure getting to meet her.

Weseluck’s voice acting career extends beyond “My Little Pony” as well with roles in a variety of projects. Her other animation credits include voicing Buttercream Sundae in “Littlest Pet Shop,” Shampoo in “Ranma ½,” and Near in “Death Note.” Weseluck has also made guest appearances on live-action television on the shows “Stargate SG-1” and “Cold Squad.” She has also done narration work for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), as well working as a producer for CBC Radio’s DiscDrive.

For more than 25 years, Weseluck has been a guest speaker and voice acting instructor, making appearances at the University of California-Berkeley, trade forums, acting academies, and more.
