Bonnie Zacherle Confirmed for Final BronyCon

Greetings Nation,

It is with a Happy Heart that I give you this final guest announcement from BronyCon. I am pleased to announced that they got The Creator of Creators. The One, The Only, Bonnie Zacherle.

For those you who are wondering what I mean when I say she is the Creator of Creators. Allow me to explain. Bonnie Zacherle is the woman who created the My Little Pony Generation 1 toy line. Which started Generation One of the franchise. So while Lauren Faust (who will be at BronyCon as well) created Friendship is Magic. She wouldn’t have if it wasn’t for what Bonnie made all those years ago. To put it simply…..If Lune & Celetia are Princesses. Then Bonnie Zacherle is the QUEEN. Every Brony owes so much to her. Lauren Faust even said she watched the original series as a child and it fueled her imagination. So whether you had any of the old school toys or watched the original series. Do go up to her and show her your appreciation. Get an autograph, a photo, or just simply thank her.  Ill be showing my thanks by having her sign my MLP 35th Anniversary figure as well as the picture above. And I hope you all will too.

This will be Zacherle’s first ever visit to BronyCon. She is best known as the original creator of My Little Pony, and its precursor, My Pretty Pony, while working at Hasbro in the early 1980s. The properties were inspired by Zacherle’s childhood memories of horses and horse riding. Her career also includes working on a redesign of Mr. Potato Head, as well as working on the Nerfuls toy line for Parker Brothers. After that, she opened a studio with her Hasbro colleague Liz Knight in a converted barn in Massachusetts which focused on freelance work, design, and consultation services.

Zacherle was honored in 2013 at the first annual My Little Pony Fair by being the first inductee into the My Little Pony Hall of Fame. Currently, Zacherle lives in Virginia where she teaches art to children.
